10th Symposium of Mexican Students and Studies: Building the future of Mexico from abroad

Dear all,

The Mexican Society at Imperial College London (MexSoc IC) and the Society of Mexican Students in the United Kingdom (MexSoc UK) are proud to invite you to the 10th Symposium of Mexican Students and Studies: Building the future of Mexico from abroad.

The Symposium of Mexican Students and Studies is an annual multidisciplinary meeting that aims at providing a forum for Mexican students to present their work, exchange knowledge and ideas. Also, the symposium is an opportunity for students from all nationalities working on Mexico-related projects to share and discuss their research with Mexican nationals. Finally, the event is an excellent opportunity for networking.

The 10th edition of the Symposium is organised by the MexSoc IC and will take place at the South Kensington Campus, Imperial College London. The event will consist of an academic program which includes oral presentations, workshop sessions and talks given by successful Mexicans residing either in Mexico or the UK. Furthermore, the traditional football tournament will also take place as part of activities of this Symposium. Finally, the organising committee is also including a complementary cultural program.

If you are interested in presenting your work and/or participating in the workshops follow the registration process:

2.Sign up as a student first.
3.Then, register for the Symposium by sending an abstract about your research/topic (~300 words)

The deadline for registration is May, 1st 2012. All the abstracts will be published in the memories of the Symposium. Any questions related to the event, please send an e-mail to symposium@mexsoc.org.uk

Hola everybody!

On behalf of the Mexican Student Society in the UK we would like to wish you all a very happy new year. Felicidades!!

We hope that this year proves to be successful, exciting and rewarding for all of you, wherever you may be. For those of you who have recently joined us, we hope that you have a great time in the UK.

We would like to remind you all that our purpose is to work to improve your experience as students in this country, and to that end we aim to work very closely with all Mexican and Latin American societies. We would like to hear your ideas, comments and suggestions on how we can serve you better.

In the following days we will work to improve this space to provide you with better, updated and exciting information about what we do, what we are planning to do and what we can do for you. So stay tuned!
